How do you get to Pedasí from Buenaventura?

About 2.5 hours east on the Pan-American Highway to the Azuero Peninsula (via Divisa or Chitré). Leave early or stay overnight for a weekend. Private taxi or rental car are the most flexible options.

What is Iguana Island?

A nature reserve off Pedasí with white beaches, reef snorkeling, and frigatebird and pelican colonies. Boat tours last half a day and include snorkel gear. Dry season (Dec–Apr) has calmer seas.

When is the best time to visit Pedasí?

December to April: less rain and better surf. July to October: humpback whale watching in the southern Pacific. Carnival and Holy Week fill the town — book ahead.
